The OP asked where she was stood and what time her son was picking her up. If she had given those answers on an open forum anyone could have taken advantage of that information. I know that was in no way the spirit in the original invite and that non of the information was posted anyway so no damage done. Hopefully a new friendship will develop and their local T's/A's can get ready

Sorry just wanted to add, Rose you have a lovely daughter, a credit to you. There would not be many that would have offered to do this for a total stranger.
I meant to ask for information on where she was etc in the pm I sent but thought she might no see it so posted it here aswell. Point taken.
Re asking for help last January OH travelled to Switzerland in his vw van and broke down 60 miles away from my sisters house in a storm on a French motorway. My sis was away in South America so could not help. He has to be rescued by French recovery ( at a cost!!) and was towed to a garage about 2 miles from my sister in France.
I posted on the VW forum that night about his plight and a lovely young chap responded. He lived about 20 miles away from where OH was and the next day drove down in his own van and helped OH tow it to another garage that my sister recommended ( and then back again when the garage would not help).
OH was there for 2 weeks waiting for garage to give him the verdict and it was a new engine was needed. His new friend , who is an aircraft engineer, advised him differently and even helped to meet the recovery lorry after OH had come home.
We went on hols in September and met up with him and we took him and his wife out for dinner. He is now my sister;s personal mechanic and a good friend.0 -

Last Friday sky tv arrived at DSes school to do some recording of the boys cheering on Northern Ireland for the breaks n the game footage tonight.
DSes class were picked out of all the year 8s to shout cheers and chants and other messages of encouragement for our wee team but they didn't know what footage they would use.
My dad rang me to see if I was watching the match but I don't have sky sports so set it to record on their tv.
DSes group was picked and shown a few times!!!!! I can't wait to see it tomorrow, DS can't wait either. He went to be a happy boy

Evening all, just posting about a few things I learnt today.....
TESCO 10P OFF FUEL PROMO: I was chatting to a guy at CS and he said this promo is likely to continue now until xmas to raise pre-xmas sales - yeay!
BOOTS SHOPPING EVENTS: The ones taking place in a fortnight's time are likely to be the last this year so stock up! Also I was told tonight that if something you want to buy to take advantage of the £12 points for every £50 spent is out of stock but is in the catalogue, they will order it for you and you can pay for it on the shopping evening with your other shopping and you won't miss out.
Also it's important to note that it's not limited to £12 points per transaction, if you spend £100 you get £24 worth of points and so on, hth someone xxNo Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

Hi everyone
Bought 2 different Andrex & 2 Robinsons plus some shopping I needed anyway which compared favourably to A. Picked up a dvd boxset for £20 to take me over £40 so I could use my £5 off £40 spend.
Spent £47+ less mocs & coupons & apg of £8.65 so paid £31. Then straight to cs returned dvd so now only £11 spent. Hoping to get nice little pp of £7+. Now thats what I call a fab shop. :T:T0
