Having a dog is like having a toddler that will never get past the age of two, they are a bit of work but the unconditional love you get from a dog is second to none, as for leaving one in the house for any length of time just ask yourself would you leave a child that long?? but there are ways to deal with it, friends or family or even a good neighbour who would take time to have them for the time your away either way a big commitment but soooo worth it.:)
    Thank you :)
Kids are still going to get a big fat no from me then:o

Another post reported. Please stop accusing people of being AE's.. just report the post you think is one, and leave it at that.

This is collective bullying of newcommers.

David, your dog is beautiful. I'm looking to get a Cocker Spaniel sometime soon - do you know what they are like around kids? I have 4 under 9 years old. We lost our labrador back in March and they've asked for a new dog ever since. Thought we'd go for a smaller house pet this time.... Any advice?? TIA
    . :)

Spaniels are brilliant with kids. They are really affectionate and friendly. They are very energetic though so be prepared for long walks. :D We had 2 when i was a kid and they were the doziest things you could have met. I used to dress one up in my old dolls clothes and he would quite happily let me. :rotfl:

I confess to hiding play dough. I'm just so out of date. I don't want to be the annoying aunt or the boring one either ! She draws me loads of pictures so I think she gets pens etc :)

My LO's fine with pens, but I do hide the bionic putty...terrible stuff to get out of clothes!

Hmm wonder what tinned peaches would be like? (not keen on mangos). And been buying peaches in fruit juice as a filler...

Peaches with Carnation milk...simple, cheap and delicious! :)
