It looks like something I got through post this morning :o I ordered it through grabbit board I think, I tash stimmer. but looks a bit brutal:D

    oh "its a big one"....

oooeeerrr thought it was only asda casshiers that use that line when i produce decent APGS ;)
  • Well Budgie just popped in to Thank Fudgie for the new thread. The clue was in the title with whom had started it, loveliest is very apt. :)

However I see there is yet more aruging and bickering again :(

Its very sad and I haven't read back that much as its not that nice reading.

However Fairclaire hunny so glad you got such nice gifts for your anniversary, your hubby was showing just how much you mean to him and all of the support you have given him. As well as looking after the family etc. Its nice to be appreciated :A

I may waffle, surely not ;) but to me a thread is so much more than just getting a bargain, its about supporting people through good and bad times. Being genuinely happy when someone has good fortune, and feeling sad when people are not having such a good time.

We are all here to save money and to try and make our cash go further, however greediness and nastiness in anyone is not a good trait.

I don't mind being on anyones ignore list, I have no one on mine, when things are like this I just leave and come back to hopefully a happier thread next time.

I wish I had been here sometime ago when it was said to be a helpful and supportive place. That is more what I am about, I like to save money but not at the detriement of anyone else.

I haven't partaken in wine or chocolates as I have no will power I am afraid, plus Mr Budgie can smell a chocolate a mile away, and often has eaten gifts then said he couldn't help it.

Anyway just to say that I hope everyone else is ok and having a good weekend.

Take care and I dreamt I won £20k on the lottery this week and it was very life like I have to say. Fingers crossed.

Also birthday wishes to anyone that I may have missed?

    Budgie xxx

    BUMP BUMP

I could not have put this better myself - echoes my thoughts entirely but much more eloquently!
This thread is so much more than just money saving and we should all remember that - we have all made many virtual friends and our lives are richer for it.
my thanks to you all xx

Hi snap just an alternative to fosted icing on the top of the cake.....

When your cake comes hot out of the oven , put a dozen or so squares of cadburys chocolate on top of the cake. Leave for 5 mins.

Then smooth over with a knife.

    It will harden

Just a change if you fancy.:)

I have had a Canon 350D and 400D (I think) loved the piccies they took but I felt the camera was just too big for me to carry round so I always ended up leaving it at home.
I agree with the size once you have a lens on you need to be going out to take photos not just pop it in your coat pocket on the off chance you need it like you can with compacts.

That's why I treated myself to a compact on the previous CC exchange. Not impressed with the quality, too used to my DSLR, and the speed is not as good, but at least it is in my handbag when my DSLR is at home waiting for the times I take it out specifically to go snapping.

Lovely cake. That reminds me I have started cake making recently and dont have a mixer. However I know my Mum has at least one Kenwood Chef in the garage. Will see if I can resurrect it.
