we always go as a family always have since kids was babies they are 18 and 21 now and both wouldnt miss it

well they are lovely. There's no rhyme or reason to the moulting thing. Mine do it at various times all year. If you think they look unhealthy I must dig out a pic of my 2 ex battery hens. The poor loves will never get some of their feathers back. One has a completely bald head:eek:. But they are happy and free and it's been a joy to watch them adjusting to life outside a cage
