  • Morning everyone!

For the NI gang: I have more to add about there being no Activia in D'dald - I was on my phone at the time and that was about all I had the patience to type! I asked a staff member (looked maybe like a manager) in the aisle if they kept it and pointed towards pictures of Activia on a hanging sign along with Mullers saying 3 for £6 or 4 for £10. He started walking with me down the aisle saying said "oh yes it's here... oh, we must've run out. We did have it". He said they only got so much of it in and that they may get more. Something about the supplier not having it at the time of order yet it may pop up in other stores. He said the offer is on until January ... we still have time! :rotfl:

I also did a test purchase using a printed online coupon, after me hearing that in that store they weren't taking any printed online coupons whatsoever. I used a couple of Safe Coupons and the SA called over the supervisor saying "are these the ones you were talking about?". The super had a quick look and said "no, those are fine - just as long as it scans alright". I asked if everything was OK, trying to get them to spill why they were looking at them. The super said that they had had problems with photocopied vouchers being handed over - usually the problem is worse coming up to Christmas - and that they have to just check now before accepting any printed ones. He did mention a list of ones not being accepted but didn't say exactly what. He said the likes of the Safe Coupons were usually fine as they are personalised.

He said they had people handing over photocopied "Love 2 Shop" vouchers  ....... and they don't even accept Love 2 Shop vouchers in the first place!

Mixed start to last day of week off

Tesco delivery brought my selection boxes (my Extra usually gets raided by local smaller shopkeepers for these) plus free Squares and Tesco CS have just phoned to offer me £20 compo for an office stationery order fiasco. As OH paid I may well keep quiet as I did all the work/chasing LOL

Downside, I put a brand new bottle of bleach on the spare bed last night ready to attack some bathroom tiles today. Unfortunately it must have had a small leak as it has burnt all the way through the duvet underneath  and in clearing up I have now bleached the front of my jumper. Another E Mail to Tesco CS I think. Hopefully they will believe me - so bizarre it has to be true doesn't it ?

    Good evening/morning everyone :)

Just had a quick skim read, and up to date again :)

Had a lovely visit to my DS1 today, even called in at A's, so could finally avail myself of the MT's :D

DS1's house fridge is now full of activias to share, biscuits to be handed around, took him freshly baked scones, and some cream, so don't think his housemates mind his mum calling round from time to time!

Then had a lovely Chinese meal out, same restaurant we went to, when I first took him to uni 14 months ago. Very special place. and lovely memories to hold.

Where will he be I wonder, in just over 2 years time, maybe another country/continent. Time spent with him now, is very precious :D

Hope you'll all have a good evening.

(oh, and for the first time, used chopsticks for the whole of the meal :D)

So true:)And perfectly put, I feel exactly the same, time spent with DS now is precious as I have the strangest feeling he'll end up working abroad:(But then I'll console myself with all the free holidays I'll get;)

Morning everyone:)Bit chilly here and still catching up, be back in a minute;)
    Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:
