Well done I am pleased for you.
Not a penny pinching moneysaving site, a site that helps you find the best value out of the money you have to spend.
I think £40 is well worth a nice sweet happy child for a little longer!0 -

My DD is a thumb sucker too. Not looking forward to that battle. Dentist says don't worry till she's 7-8.Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -
Just a positive on the blankie/teddy attachment, my dad brought me a teddy bear the day i was born, he went everywhere with me slept with me at night, listened to all my teenage woes and now at nearly 33 i still have him and he sits next to my bed and its never done me any harm lol thought my OH may disagree

DS1 broke his 'lorry' (one of those rattly roller balls on a stick) when he was about 18 months old. He broke it on a Saturday, after the shops had closed, in the days before shops opened on Sundays. He'd been inseparable, lorry went everywhere with us, and to bed with him (not very cuddly!)
I rushed out on Monday and bought him a new one, but he wasn't interested.
DS3 was devoted to Clownie (one of those clowns with different fastenings, a button, a zip, velcro etc). Clownie usually stayed at home, he felt happier and safer there, but one Friday when DS3 was 3, he was taken to school and left there all weekend! We didn't miss him until bedtime, too late to go searching for him.
DS3 picked out a penguin, and went to bed with penguin all weekend. I said as little as possible. On Monday we found Clownie, who'd been very brave all on his own at school. And then I said I'd been very pleased that he hadn't been too upset about Clownie, even though he'd missed him. "But penguin is the same shape." Sensible chap, so he was.
Their little friend had a Minnie Mouse. Or 3. But what they liked on the original was the 'tail' - the label which was stitched onto Minnie. So Mum sewed a short piece of ribbon on which was what provided the comfort.
Anyway, in a 'weaning off toy / blanket' situation, see if you can work out what it is the child likes. and work on that.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

It was the last shop we went to while out, so I guess DD must have dropped him there. I checked there first the next day and was told that he hadn't been handed in or found. Seemingly he was found and priced up!! Manager reckoned it was company policy to label everything. Fair t say she got short shrift from me.
And no, there wasn't much she could do but give the monkey back to DD..Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -
Glad you found it, OP
I had spares of my children's bedtime cuddlies at that age...just in case.
However, I was quite impressed by a friend who bought her daughter's beloved teddy a "necklace"-a dog tag on a ribbon, in the hope that anyone who found it would realise how important it was and ring home.import this0
