just wondering what sort of price other people have paid for potatoes.I bought a sack about 4wks ago and paid £13.00. was at international airport last wk and on way back paid £12.00.
It is still cheaper than buying potatoes every week . I remember last year only paying around £8.00

Potatoes are currently making £500/tonne Ex Farm in 25kg/56lb paper bags graded. Equivalent to £12:50 per bag. Crop yield is poorer this year and as Suki says, with the weather as it is there is still a lot of the crop unharvested and depending on the lay of the land and weather to come may not get harvested. Supply & Demand !!
Last year they were selling at about £120/tonne !!
Luckily I get mine for free..... Parents are farmers !! :j0
