Paying for prescriptions?

Agreed with lollipopsarah my asthma nurse gives me 2 inhalers a month per prescription so it actually lasts me 2 months.0

Don't move to the Republic of Ireland - there you pay for what the medication actually costs. I was prescribed one set of tablets that cost EUR45 for five days. I got better very quickly!! There's an upper limit of EUR120 per month per household - it makes you very appreciative of the NHS.No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0

If you are paying for your prescriptions, ask your GP to write the prescription for double the amount. You may have to make a bit of a fuss though!
That's exactly what I used to do and my GP did it no problem. Not that I need to worry about the costs anymore being in Scotland!
I did used to skimp on my inhalers a few years ago because I couldn't afford to pay for them.0
