My OH and I share a joint account so are financially link. He has had a mortage for 4 years. I've been paying money into our joint bank account towards this and other bills. We are hoping to remortage next year when we hopefully move.
We have contacted his mortage provider to get my name put on the mortage thinking it will increase my credit rating (which is fine) and help with gettingba new mortage but they want to charge us £100 for the paperwork? Is it worth doing or a waste of money?

The lender is charging you £100 and a solicitor will charge around £350 to £450 for the transfer of equity which completes the process.
I wouldn't bother if you are planning to move. Simply buy the next property in joint names with a joint mortgage.I am a mortgage broker.
