parking night out in belfast

Christmas work do is coming up and I am looking to pick the brains of the kind folk on here!
it is a works lunch which will stretch into the evening.
my 2 choices are get left and lifted allows me to have a drink and no car parking issues etc
this is not my preferred option as i would be inconveniencing others. i live a good bit away from belfast, with a very sparse bus service and a taxi is out of the question 50 minutes each way, way too expensive.
and other option is not drink (no bother here) and drive.
If i do this where can I park that my car will be safe from about 12 noon until 9 or 10pm, not cost a clean fortune and safe for me to walk back to?
the meal is in a restaurant around Shaftsbury Square
thanks for your help

St Anne's Square is fairly reasonable http://www.q-park.co.uk/parking/belfast/saint-annes-square and just beside the Cathedral Quarter. Your problem might be getting parked though at that time of year. Unless the new bus lanes put people off that is0

Perhaps Dublin Road multistorey http://www.ncp.co.uk/car-park?cpid=700111&name=Dublin%20Road (no idea of daytime busyness), or for free on the side streets off Botanic Avenue (likely fairly chock-a-block if you arrive during working day).0 -
Get lifted, it's Christmas and a works night out! I'm sure family/friend wont mind and i'm sure you would repay the favour for them.
Alternatively is there anyone you work with from round about your area - a few of us share lifts and taxi's home from ours which is never that close to us, spreads the cost and it's safer than travelling alone.0
