Creative ways to give cash?

Hey folks,
My brother has asked for cash for Christmas because he's saving up to go travelling, but he still wants some thought putting into it! He's challenged us to give him cash in a creative and innovative way to keep some of the fun of gift giving and receiving!
I thought it would be fun to see what people suggest
All I can think of at the minute is a cheap suitcase full of dollar bills! Or a jar of pennies!

why not do a quiz based on where he's going travelling and 'award' him so much money per question correct.
Or something based on the country he's going to ie name all the states in america in 15 mins (no internet/smartphone help) award money for each state named etc0 -
What about a treasure hunt?0

You could present him with a money tree, buy a small plant and attach the cash to the leaves.
Or you stick the cash inside balloons, blow them up, then put them in a huge box and he has to pop all the balloons to get the cash.
For thousands of people this Christmas, their must-have gift is far more vital than the latest gadget or toy – it’s blood. Please don’t let the festivities and cold weather prevent you from giving them the ultimate gift… give blood.0 -

One year my parents got me a money box maze, the money was locked inside and to get it out you had to complete the maze, it took me ages to do, but i really appreciated it when i finally got the money out! xx

You might want to practice with similar sized paper first, in case you rip it up in frustration!0 -

I LOVE this idea! I think this might be the one! Everyone loves a giant mystery box under a christmas tree and balloons to top it off!
I might make it really elaborate and hide quiz questions or riddles in each balloon!0 -
This is adorable! Would be perfect for someone younger though, I don't think my typical-teenage-boy brother would appreciate this as much as others would!0 -
A treasure chest full of one and two pound coins - and maybe some chocolate coins!!0
