Experience credit file

Hi there,
Wondered if anyone could clarify for me ...?
I went BR in 2006, discharged in 2007. A Black Horse loan that was included in the BR is showing on my credit file as still in default. It is dated 3 months AFTER my discharge. Surely the date should have been from 2006 and therefore no longer on my credit file?
Would I be within my rights to ask them to remove it?
Many thanks x

Do you mean Experian?
The default date should be no later than the BR date, you can ask them to change the date rather than remove it. It should also show as settled or patially settled."Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them." Dalai Lama0 -
If the Black Horse loan was included in your BO, then all you need to do is send a photocopy of either your original BO form showing all the creditors that were included in it or a photocopy of your discharge letter to Black Horse advising that the debt should be showing as satisfied as it was inc in Bo also that the date needs amending to 2006 - if you are a credit expert member (the online service with Experian) call credit expert customer service and they will contact Black Horse for you on your behalf - if you're not a meber might be worth while signing up for the 30 day trial and cancel before the 30 days is up - that way, you get experian to do the work for you and tidy up your credit file - if you need any other advice just let me know0

You could also send your query to Experian online. The default should definitely pre-date the bankruptcy order, which should presumably be due to disappear very soon as we only keep them for six years
