    i think i did earn over the personal allowance, as i did pay tax in my first job as well as my second i dont think i earned much over it but yes i do think it was over it

    He probably just hasn't done the calculation properly. 20 hours at £6.36 means gross £127.20 per week, that is below the NI Primary Threshold so no NI is payable, which would mean only tax being deducted. If the personal allowance is fully allocated to the first job that means 20% of the gross wage or £25.44 tax per week.
