Removing name from mortgage

Hello all
second post so not quite a newbie.
Looking for some information and help with the following please.
I took out a mortgage 10 years ago with my husband. He had/has a problem with drugs so i asked him to leave about 5 years ago. We both had lots of debts. I chipped away at mine and have a few still to pay but mostly under control. He paid none of his. I took on the secured loan and the mortgage and soley paid both for the last 5 years. Now i am worried about his debts. One is fairly large with a bank but not secured. If he is on the mortgage here will they try to put a charge on my house. not much equity at the moment but i am still worried. Could i get his name removed from the mortgage, i have told them he is not here and that i pay on my own. Also told blackhorse the same for the secured loan. Could i do this and what would i have to do?
Thanks for any help offered.

He could be removed should you be able to show from their eyes affordability and credit worthiness. he would also need to sign papers to release him from the mortgage. If he doesn't, it wont be going anywhere.
Technically should his name remain on the title deeds of the property and default on the loan, then that provider could apply to a court a CCJ and it is possible they can attach a charging order (3rd charge in your case) behind Black Horse.
Therefore upon sale of the property, your mortgage company are first ranking in terms of any sales proceeds, the Black Horse, then the loan company. sols fees and estate agent agents fees will come out of it all at some stage in place of one of the lenders, likely the loan company.
any money left over will be split 50/50 between you both.0
