Hi There,
I'm normally really good at presents but I'm a bit stuck with this one. My friend has been such a good friend to me this year and I would really like to get her something special for Christmas.
She is nearly 50 but a young 50, doesn't drink hot drinks, loves food but as just joined slimming world. I'm toying with the idea of doing her a hamper but I'm not sure where to start.
Any ideas? spending about £20/£30
Many thanks

on slimming world, you can have chocolate and wine, to how about a couple of small bottles of wine, treat size choc bars and some pampering goodies? and a book?Cats don't have owners - they have staff!!

I do SW and probably wouldn't like a food related gift, I would love a hamper of all sorts - nice toiletries, scented candle etc and maybe one small bottle of wine and small bar of choc, but all food related would just seem weird to me if someone knew I was doing SW.
Would about a nice piece of jewellery as its something she could keep forever0 -

My daughter is doing SW too and I was a bit stumped as to what to do for her, then a light bulb moment a chocolate hamper- but not edible- chocolate face pack, scented candle etc hthThe secret of Christmas
It's not the things you do at Christmastime
But the Christmas things you do

How about a voucher for her local hair/beauty salon for a real treat.
(not suggesting that she needs it)

Sorry to be a killjoy but I have to say I am 49 and I really wouldn't like smellies...but everyone is different! Some people would love them!

What I would like at my ancient age :rotfl:are the items I wrote in the 'What do YOU want for christmas?'thread. That is items from the 1960's and 1970s. Books, music, photos, scrapbook of the era .. but then not everyone is the same as me....I don't want to make money, I just want to be wonderfulMarilyn Monroe0 -
Thanks for your replies everyone, I've got a some ideas to think about there x0

I'm 50
and quite honestly I like the same type of gifts as I did in my 20s/30s. I usually get CDs, books, fluffy dressing gown, slippers, vouchers, chocolates. scarf, gloves, handbag
Like qwiksave I dont like smellies as I have a drawer full of them and really only like certain ones, I dont like 60s/70s music or items reminding me when I was born

I have decided on doing a Hamper. The centre piece is going to be the Marks Christmas tree tin and I'm going to go from there.
How much fun are Hampers? Now I'm getting the hang of it I'm going to do a few x0
