It certainly will be a challenge - I echo what others have said about the psychology of it all.

I addition to freezing, you could investigate other ways of preserving gluts or 'finds' of discounted foods - preserving, bottling & drying.

Good luck to you both - I hope you'll keep us all up-to-date :)

**had to look-up bisort - I had never heard of it before**

£1 a day for a whole yr so what you are saying is £365 for a whole year's food/drink allowance for 2 people? OMG I don't think I could make it work and I'm v frugal....... although if you already had a full freezer + full store cupboard it could possibly work but then how would you do the math ....... as you can see I am sooooo baffled at this point...........will be very interesting to read other people's views.

Well, Weezl did it.... But that was years ago, and even for someone with her resources and talents, it was a struggle at times !

And here's where it all started:

And then of course there is CFR, as posted a few posts back, but that's a far more generous budget....

So, in an nutshell ? Yeah, it's possible. It will not, however, be easy - and please do not put your health at risk for the sake of a challenge.

    Other than that, good luck....

Just like to say good luck on the challenge.

I think you can do it but it will be very hard and challenging at times. But it will be fun as well ! so its all good.

Bit of advice though try and bring kidney beans and moog beans into your diet as they contain lots of iron and protein. We eat them them both in various meals and really bulk out meals. Thats what we do especially when our budget is tight.

    Good luck !
