Poundland have a nice range of basic colours including some with metallic thread in them. :)
A waist is a terrible thing to mind.
  • It's worth a look on Gumtree and freecycle too, there's often unused wool on there.

  • Poundland and Poundworld both do a few colours.
Pound stretchers does some from £1.20 to £3.
I've also came across some in B&M Bargains last week. 89p for basic wool and roughly £2 for baby wool.

deramores website let you search by price. can get acrylic DK for under £2 per 100g in loads of colours. but got to pay p&p, alas. hth :)
  • Try Kemps wool shop online, they sell clearance branded wool at low prices. I use them a lot:).
  • You must have a "cheapy" shop on your local high street - the sort of shop that sells an all-sorts range of goods and cheap tat. There's one on my high street that sells wool for about £1.99 per ball. Alternatively, Sainsburys sells wool from about £2.99. Nectar points to spend? Or, there's always Ebay!
