I only asked because you're post suggested that you were surprised at this.

But I cant pay it when Ive had to move in with a friend just because I cant afford the house and looking after my children , their necessities came first.

And your kids should always come first.

I think your best bet is to post on the Debt-free Wannabe part of this forum. If there's a way out of this, be it bankruptcy of other, they'll be best placed to help you.
