Hi
Im mostly a lurker on these boards and have got loads of tips from you all so firstly thanks for all of the posters.
I now have a question I hope you can help with.
I managed to get my hands on an old style Kenwood :T:T:T complete with a blender and mincer attachment.
I love it and use the mixer and blender a few times a week
Trouble is I'm a vegetarian so looking for ideas to utilise the mincer for other things. I'm clueless on this so any suggestions or ideas welcome.
Thanks

The mincer on a Kenwood Chef is meant for mincing meat, unfortunately! So I don't know what to suggest for a vegetarian. Sell it on Ebay and buy the grater/shredder attachment instead?Val.0

thanks valk-scot
ebay was my thought for it - but just wondered if anyone had found a magical use for it before I send it off.
is the grater attachment any good?"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it may be necessary from time to time to give a stupid or misinformed beholder a black eye" - Miss Piggy0 -

Whoops sorry, I missed the question. I have the high speed grater/shredder that fits on the top of the Chef (there's a less powerful one that fits on the front) and I use it regularly. I can grate down five pounds of cheese for the freezer in under two minutes for example, slice a panful of onions for soup in a minute, slice potatoes thinly enough to make crisps, or veg for coleslaw, or carrots or anything else I want. It really is FAST especially for larger quantities of veg. Of course you then have to clean the thing which is a bit fiddly. But still better than grating five pounds of cheese, yawn.....Val.0
