Debt advisor consultation help??

Just read something on another thread that concerns me "you cannot go bankrupt without having had a consultation with a debt advisor" Bankruptcy has been recomended to me by CCS and I have discussed this with them in detail prior to making the decision to go bankrupt (my hearing is Wednesday) Is this sufficient, I could not afford to pay a debt advisor so I opted for the charitable advise that was available to me. Is the judge going to turn me away?? seriously worried now!!!

CCCS is fine lexy, it is just so you have had information regarding what bankruptcy entailsHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.
Please note that any views i put forth are not those of my former employer The Insolvency Service and do not constitute professional advice, you should always seek professional advice before entering insolvency proceedings.0 -

Don't worry Lexy. We've all been there. You did the right thing consulting CCCS..that's all the man wants to know....that you had independent advice before filing. You wouldn't necessarily be refused BR if you didn't but it would raise eyebrows and lead to questions the judge doesn't normally feel he needs to ask making a 2 minute appearance into a longer ordeal.
The advice you will ALWAYS get on this forum is NEVER pay for BR advice. The charities are best. Free and impartial with no agenda.0
