Updating Credit file - with payment arrangements

Anyone know - my friend has 2 deliquent accounts on his credit file - where he has an agreed payment arrangement.
However despite him paying every month on time (post arrangement) - the agreed amount they are still showing on his credit file as default, month after month.
The interest is stopped on the accounts.
1) Is this right?
2) can anything be done about it
We have written to both companies - nothing. We will also write to experian. What is the best approach
Anything else we can do?
Thank you!!!

If someone makes a new lower arrangement even if agreed, from the original one, then it will indeed show as default as they have defaulted from the original agreement.
What can be done about it, get the debt paid off and get the original agreement back into action really.
I take it your friend hasn't gone BR?
