Update: Have spoken with HSBC. Most helpful. Apparently those who opted out back in the 80's were automatically opted back in during 2002 unless they stated otherwise. So I was opted back in. They have got 2 pensions for me and was pleasantly surprised with the amounts. Not enough to be a millionaire or retire to the carribean, but a little something nonetheless.
