Rossendales Being Unpleasant (what a surprise)

Okay guys, bit of a problem.
Ars*holes R Us (Rossendales) have sent me a letter telling me they're going to come round with a van regarding a debt I have been trying to sort through a solicitor. Basically they tried to remove on a debt I was paying as agreed, and in fact overpaid. According to them the agreement was only for 3 months, and as the debt wasn't cleared they wre coming round to remove. Came as a bit of a surprise, as I'd never been told it was a temporary agreement.
So I got a solicitor ivolved (waste of space) who has been asking themm for all related paperwork, which they've ignored and then sent some made up figures that don;t agree with previous letters. I told them I would stop paying unitl it was sorted out, and now they're getting a bit upset. None of their figures match mine (and as a good MSE'er I have spreadsheets. Lots of spreadsheets)
So how do I stand with telling them to back off as they haven't provided the breakdown of the debt and payments as requested? Its all well and good taking it to court for not providing (although under what charges I don;t know) but that isn't going to stop them turning up if it's not paid, is it?
What do you guys suggest?

I was looking for that thread myself ZTD. It would, though, be better if Austin Mitchell were Oberon's father.:rolleyes:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

I don't think it will matter all that much to him, so long as he can give them trouble."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

I thought the golden rule is let them turn up if they want to, local all your windows and doors and dont let them in.
If I were in your shoes Id be tempted to stick a big note on the door saying TAKE ME TO COURT SPAMHEAD or something a bit more lyrical ( You are way better at putdowns than I!) and go along, present your case, theyll get laughed out.
Id also call the police, tell them you are being harrassed & get a crime ref number, useful if it does go to court. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

I removed the post because you objected. I will confirm that you wrote the original letter which I adapted. I apologise if you think I intended to take credit for it - that was not my intent. I was simply attempting to help someone with a problem.
I don't gain business from this forum, am not in business in any credit related field, and have nothing to gain from any advice I give. Because I am not in this business, sometimes I forget the importance of proper recognition to those who are, and I apologise for any damage done.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

Thanks guys - bailiff chaser - The solicitors have already asked them for all this info, and so far all I have to show for it is a £129 bill from the solicitors and a hacked together letter from Rossendales that doesn't make any sense. They have some document that I signed when this first kicked off, so I don;t think I could deny entry.
I think I'm going to write to them using that letter but tell them they've failed to supply the documents as required by the Consumer Credit Act. As far as my figues go I owe £309, minus the 'charges' that they've failed to substantiate leaves XX amount to be paid/overpaid. If I still owe them a bit, they'll get a cheque for that amount, and I expect to hear no more about it, unless they fancy a day in court.
Thanks for the support guys. You know how it is when these people sho up. Even worse when they change the goal postas half way through, beacause they know you're nearly done paying them. If I win the lottery I'm going to buy them out. I'll then contact clients at random - any complaints the bailiff gets fired. I can;t stand these people. There's no reason why they can't be civil and helpful. They#d probably get more co-operation, and less pans thrown at them. This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!
