Heard on radio 4 this morning that the original handwritten passenger lists for the TITANIC are avialable on line free for one week. Thereafter it is a pay-per-view service.
This service is by the National Archives.
Would not normally be too interested but this is the first time the entire listing is available with details of where each passenger was hoping to migrate to, and this can be a fascinating insight especially for those who think their ancestors may have been on board. Remeber it wasn't just the rich and famous on board, but lots of emigrants too.
