Mortgage with bad credit rating

Anyone know if there will be a mortgage deal next year for ex bankrupt (discharged January 2012) who is self employed, and wife with bad credit rating? If we sell current house and buy smaller one -could put down £200k, but would need mortgage for approx £100k. Any chance or none at all?:(

Ok, specialist subject.
With a big deposit such as that, there will always be a solution although it will not be necessarily cheap.
I would suggest you need to find a decent broker, once you have got your 3 credit files, Experian, Equifax and Call Credit.
Good luck though and go in with your eyes open as this will be difficult and likely to be expensive.

Thankyou so much for the info. At least I know it's not impossible which is reassuring.0
