Virgin Money Mortgage - query

Has anyone applied or got experience of Virgin Money?

Applied over the phone late Thursday afternoon, was told it was referred to the underwriters and they would call me possibly Friday but most likely today.

I can see from my experian that they have run a search. I have a 982 score with experian and 472 with equifax. LTV for what I am applying for is about 24% as have big deposit.

Any idea whether a referral to the underwriter is bad? Just really worried as have had offer accepted and need to secure the finance (£95k).

Any insight to their process wold be greatly appreciated.

Same as any other bank...Referring to underwriters is not always bad. You will just need to wait until later today for the phone call.

:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p

As I think I said on your other thread, Virgin Money do not accept anyone immediately.

I am sure you will be fine, if you are not then there will be an unknown issue on your credit files.

Virgin were never going to be the quickest I am afraid (a la Tesco) but when rates are market leading they are swamped.

    Sure you will hear today.

    Good luck

  • Its probably the same as any other bank. You'll just have to wait until later today...
  • Hadn't heard anything although have receive key facts from them in the post (but presume they have to send this to anyone who applies?).

Phoned them today and it is still waiting to be passed to an underwriter. Fingers crossed. Guess they are busy.
