Fashion Opinions - Cords?

Hello Folks
I need/want to buy some new trousers and have been struck by the amount of corduroy trousers on display in the various shops that I've been into.
I last wore cords over 30 years ago (I'm a 50yo bloke) and my memories are the rustling noise and inner thigh wear. I suppose they then went out of fashion.
Thus is it safe to buy a pair or will I be accused of having zero fashion sense?

DH wears them . They're the modern styling with a slim leg . He's given all the pants that had the wider legs ,( not massively wide ) to charity shop . They just didn't look right anymore . Cords are warmish in the winter I think . Unless you are really trendy and think they're not you !0

50 yr old bloke, I think cords and a nice shirt is a good look.
Are you thinking of fine needle cord or the more chunky variety?Norn Iron Club member 4730 -
I know a court bailiff and he swears by corduroys as blood washes out of them with no issues. He always wears them on gypsy evictions- his favorite.0

Thanks for the positive thoughts. Could be tempted, not a big fan of the thick cord though.0

Slim leg - good
Fine cord- good
Navy blue/black/burgundy/taupe- good
Chunky cord - bad
Pleats - bad
Turn-ups - bad
Mustardy/khaki - badA minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.
Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.

Ha ha! No, I work in higher education where corduroy has a much wider following. Leather elbow patches are on my Christmas wish list.0 -
