Wanted to hear what other people thought.
i have some supplements that are out of date by more than a year so i think i should throw them away.
once before i went to have my solgar iron tablets and they had gone off and smelt really bad, i hadnt even had them for that long.
which is why im thinking even if the rest smell fine i should just throw them away.

It really does depend on the type of supplement and the particular brand - they use different 'filler' ingredients. Some do 'go off' and can make you ill, others just lose some of their effectiveness.
If you really do want to try to use them, then the best person to advise you if it is safe is a pharmacist, but unless they are very expensive I wouldn't bother trying, just chuck 'em.Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!0 -
thanks i will throw them away.0

If you take them back to the chemist, they will dispose of them for you-or any unwanted/unused/OOD medication for that matter.0
