any tips for debtfree wannabe

started gamberling 3 years ago serious gamberling i now owe out 34000 phew that was a shock adding that lot up ive been looking at this site now for the last 3 days and have got some brilliant advice how to clear my debts.
i earn 19000 a year and my partner gives me 6500 a year so i should be able to clear these debts any more suggestions would be very much appreciated

i dont own a house i rent which is 90 p/w house tax 120 p/m gas 60 p/m electric 60 p/m tv and telephone 60 p/m dog insurance 300 p/y house insurance 300 p/y water 360 p/y food bill 50 p/fn

Im saving everything i have for 3 months at a time and then putting on the cc to pay that one off ive also swapped my balance on the cc to 0% for 13 months so i have that amount of time to pay it but im gonna see if i can pay the 5500 within 6 months is this possibe?

my gamberling started just over 3 years ago. My daughter was raped, was never a gamberler b4 this happened, so i think it was my way of dealing with it all. my partner pays the food bill.

If you got into debt through gambling then you need to sort that out as well.

Are you getting any help for it already?

sorry but you not put anything for food etc

gas/leccky/pet/house insruances shop around and reduce
same with tv/phone

do a through SOA (see southernscousers sticky)and repost then sit back and let the peeps here work there magic
dont worry everyone is friendly and wont judge

Right i could say your stupid etc but nevermind here is what you need to do. Send a cca request off to every creditor you owe money to then sit back nd watch when half of(maybe0 all your debts are written off !!!!!!!!! send them the follwoing letter with a £1 cheque :

I understand that under the Consumer Credit Act 1974 (Sections 77−79), I am entitled to receive a copy of my credit agreement on request and this should be supplied within 12 working days. I enclose a payment of £1.00 which represents the fee payable under the Consumer Credit Act.

Non-compliance with my request is a criminal offence under the above Act and will result in a report being submitted to the relevant statutory authorities.

As you are aware, a credit agreement that is not properly documented and signed by the customer is totally unenforceable under the CCA and therefore is a complete defence to any court claim that is issued.
Please note that under Section 189 you are obliged to supply these documents whether you are the original creditor or not. I await your reply.

thank you all for repyling i have copies of my loan aggreement are these not genuine!!!! i feel so relieved for dealing with my debt i havent tackled the gamberling bit yet as im so so motivated to clear my debt havent even thought about throwing my money away!!! ive started a veg garden to keep my mind busy loving it haha.

your rent seems very low compared to your council tax, is your banding correct? can you please post a full SOA so we can see if we can help you out?

Have you addressed the gambling and blocked the gambling sites?

yes i phoned all 5 yes 5 of the sites up and cancelled also i have told my sister in law no more bingo or fruit machines until im clear of all this mess so im gonna try to stop gamberling with self motivation hope it works;)

have you really, honestly dealt with the addiction? How do you know you wont fall back into it once the debt is clear?

im sure i have only got an addiction through trying to come to terms with what happened to my daughter as i used to love my one night out a week which was bingo i never abused it so hopefully when im out of this mess, my daughter is putting her life back together, i can go back to my one night a week treat, im totally shocked how easy i have stopped it has took many attempts,;) but since being on here i have.;)
