well guys the challenge is over for another week, I'll spend some time this evening compiling the list for tomorrows thread, though as I may have a second night out tonight (yes I'm a shade of green today  ) it may not be quite first thing! don't panic though the challenge is on this week!
this leads me to a question? how many of you guys save as much of your spending as possible until saturday to avoid it being in your weekly spends? If I have to go into town I try and leave it till sat as there is a high chance I'll spend over and above...ah well.
So how are you guys spending your money today? I'm going to the cinema in a couple of hours to see mr bean, am going to get an unlimited cinema card again, I know it's not essential, but my budget can cope with £10.99 a month and it'll give me more excuse to be out the house. Plus there are so many things on at the mo I want to see and I work across the road from there now too so I've no excuse for not going. So I'll have to pay the first month i imagine plus munchies (from asda!) then I'm going into town to spend the money my aunt gave me last week on some new clothes.
I'll come back later to announce final spends!

I spent $4.20 today on a posh coffee when friends came from brissie and we went shopping, that's the lot though.
And as for saving to do the weekly spends on saturday, rather than do that I tend to run my budget as a full week, ignoring that most people have saturdays off. So the budget I put on the thread for me is for the full 7 days.Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
Hi LJ - I don't include our weekly shop in my target, as we budget for that separately (with Moozie's permission, of course. :rolleyes2 :rolleyes2 ). But that doesn't mean that I/we go on a spending 'binge' on Saturdays - though often tempted.
We do have to go to Tesco  and I may possibly need to spend on some 'non-budget' items, shaving gel, socks etc., as I start my new job on Monday, and it means being away from home all week.

I've been off the dfw wagon these alst few weeks and seriously need to get back on it! I've always done most of my non essential shopping on a saturday so I don't think my habits have changed there really, but I am very conscious of wasting money now. Before MSE I would just buy anythign for the sake of it (hence why my house is now like steptoe's yard!), now I think carefully and ask myself 'will this be in the bin or on ebay in a few months?' lol
Todasy I'm hoping to have a NSD, staying in all day and have a good clearout and tidy up cos my DS has been away all week and I've not lifted a finger! Listed a load of crap, erm goodies on freecycle so hopefully they'll go today, if not my wheelie bin will be getting a treat!GOD BLESS DURAN DURAN

Hi LJ and everyone :hello:
Beautiful day here today,so we are going to sort the garden out  I will need some compost for the huge tubs DH has made  not sure where the cheapest place to get it is? we will need rather a lot,we are planning on growing veg in the tubs,he has made them on legs,so that I don't have to bend and hurt my back, isn't he thoughtful
The kiddies are away for the weekend at grandmas house,so we might just pop open a bottle of white and have an intimate BBQ :j
Will confess the damage of the compost later, but hope to spend no more than £25haven't spent any money this week due to the lurgy,so am going to make up for it today
Have a good day everyone

Well I need to go and buy a new bra today as my others are too big
after shrinking back to my normal side from breastfeeding. I only have 1 that fits me, which lets face it, isn't very hygienic as it needs to go in the wash
But ... I will only be buying a cheapy from matalan £7 as I am still losing weight so no point spending loads on one that won't fit me in a month or so.
Also will cost to park in town to go to shop, so another 80p there.
Other than that, I don't think we need to spend anything else today coz we did our food shop yesterday.Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

Nothing 'unbudgeted' today - food shopping later but still got quite a few things in the cupboards and freezer so that shouldn't be a huge spend, just some fruit and veg I think.
Re the Saturday thing, well last week was my first one of really trying to stick to a budget so still trying to figure out the best way to do things. Usually have one night out at the weekend, either Fri or Sat, so I think whichever one of those it is each week will have to be outside my weekly spends... or I'll have to up the budget a bit, don't think I can do a week at work plus a night out on a tenner!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
A NSD here for me, hopefully one of many. Got all the food we need, dont really *need* to buy anything..I will be good!£2.00 Coin saver -£12.00 In Piggy bank - £150 Banked :j
Boots Points - £2.58
Quidco - £11.75
Yougov - £22.25
Ciao - £8.64
Ebay - £68.00
Money For Nothing Challenge- £17.06 :A0 -
So far £1.40 for the paper. We shouldn't need to go out for food later as there is plenty of food in however as we need to get the car cleaned (another £5 - I know I know we should do it ourselves but it is FILTHY) we'll probably pick up a few bits at the shops.
We're off to the cinema tonight on the £10.99 a month deal - we found a street nearby so we don't have to pay parking and so that will be FREE!! (kind of!) Have a good day everyone -0 -
horrible spend day for me, it's my daughter's birthday and those are never cheap. We are having a few of her friends over later for a sleepover, I was going to order in pizza but I think the kids will have more fun making their own so we are doing that. She ended up with 2 big gifts from me, long story but the first one ended up not being such a great gift so I bought her a mobile phone instead (ebay of course), not only do I feel better that she has it for safety but she needs to do jobs around the house to earn credit for it, so it works for me both ways. Hopefully tomorrow will be a nsd, I had quite a few in the past couple of weeks which is a vast improvement.:A
