Compare supermarket prices

Hello
I've just started to try to reduce our family grocery bill and I'm finding picking and choosing between supermarkets is a real nightmare.
Is there any good website, or better still iPhone or Android app, which I can use (preferably in the store) to compare prices. I can see that branded items should be easier, but what about similar own brand lines where quantities vary?
For example my kids love Nutella, but how can I compare Lidl 750g pots against Asda 400g pots when prices seem to change quicker than I can keep up with by writing the prices down each visit? Extra fuel costs to return for a cheaper item at the first sore make this approach worthless.
Thanks for any help

This is one option for own brands, it gives the price and opinions as to the quality. Tick the shops which are convenient, tick any dietary requirements, set the search to 8+ or higher, enter a search item.

Cornflakes returns these

This site will let you know which items are on offer, though it isn't an exhaustive list, you can search for items as well to check for offers

Amazon can be worth checking as they have offers, some with free delivery.0
