a quick question regarding utilities. I have debts with E-on of around £1200 they provide both my gas and electric, would I be best letting E-on putting a pre payment meter in now with the debt on the meter and hopefully when i finally go bankrupt they will let me carry on being with them and just have the debt wiped from my meter or if i don't have one installed what will happen to my utilities?
Also I have debts with BT too who provide my landline and broadband will they remove their services? if so will it be near on impossible to find another provider.
I just had a moment of panic last night wondering what will happen as I live on my own with two children and dont have anyone that will be able to take over my services.

Usually a supplier will just close your account and set up a new one with nil outstanding balance, or reset any prepayment meter to zero. This applies to both gas/elec and phone suppliers. If you're worried you could always call them and ask what their specific policy is.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Often they will either want to install a pre-payment meter following BR or want a deposit up front for utilities.
I have no personal knowledge though as I didn't owe any money for bills."Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them." Dalai Lama0 -
