Could someone please put my mind at rest!

Hi

On Monday after years of struggling with personal debt I took my SOA etc along to the crown court and was accepted. I walked away from the court with my Bankruptcy Order signed and stamped. I had a mixture of relief but anxious feelings as to what was to come.

I have had a few calls from my OR's office and have been advised that my telephone interview will be a week on Monday.

Could anyone please give me an idea of how these telephone interviews go like? Is it just the SOA's they go through?

I must admit they made me feel like I was a bad person for doing this but I really couldn't see an alternative. Does it get easier?

Thanks

I'm really surprised you've had a few calls from the OR's office, I think normally there is only one just to check you have money for subsistance and to make the appointment for the full OR interview so to have a few calls is unusual.

Yes, the actual OR interview will just be going through your SOA page by page really. It's ok, if you have a read around the forum you will see many posts saying it was no where near as bad as they expected.

All the best with it all.

I have had 4 phone calls in total. The person who called had to keep checking with the OR to advise me on whether I could keep my business trading. They also had to keep checking to see if my bank accounts would be frozen. They put the fear of god into me I can tell you to start with. Its been more of an anxious time after the Bankruptcy Order was agreed than the actual day I took it into the court.

We are now in the middle of whether my work vehicle will have to be sold and a piece of machinery in my business. It is still a very stressful time but I am dreading the telephone interview. I don't expect the OR's office to be over friendly but they made me feel awful.
