Genuine Bed Bargains Fact or Fiction

I need a new double bed and do not want to spend a fortune but obviously value for money. In all the ads I have seen they all seem to be giving huge discounts and it is impossibe to compare like for like prices as beds do not have a product number. I have heard that as in furniture beds can be sold at hugely inflated prices for a couple of weeks and then advertised with a large discount.
