Help just lost my job

Hi i am hopeing someone can help me with some advice. I have just lost my job at a well known bank. I have applyed to go back onto jsa and am still waiting to hear from them. They told me it will take upto 14 days. My problem is i am a single parent with not a penny to my name now is they any help with money i can get untill my jsa is sorted out ? my advisor said something about a Hardship payment ? what is this ? how do i apply for 1 ? Any advice would be a great help xx

I dont know anything about the Hardship payment, but would suggest hitting the relevant agencies asap (if you havent all ready done so)

If you have "just" lost your job, do you not have outstanding wages to come?

If you go to the jobcentre, they should be able to give you a hardship form to fill in, with a freepost envelope. Fill it in and post it, and you should hear back in hopefully not much longer than a week..

Hi Chezaa,

Sorry to hear about your recent jobless.

You "may" be able to apply for a Crisis Loan from the Jobcentre to meet your daily living requirements. Its interest free, but you will have to pay it back (its taken out of your JSA but it's literally a couple of quid).
