Brighton and Hove Money Saving

I recently moved into an unfurnished flat. I wanted to share some of the great places I got furniture from, some real bargains! Plus they are all charitable organisations.

At the tip in Hove there is the YMCA shop - this has a great selection of items like cupboards / draws / racks / mirrors. Lots of great storage items and the stuff in here is really cheap.

Emmanus up near portslade has to be my favourite. A large building with a huge selection of sofa's, chairs, tables, lights, and also a section in the corner which has lots of kitchen wear. All the stuff in here is really decently priced and they deliver for £10! (they also have a great cafe!)

Martlett's Furniture warehouse - off Old Shoreham Road in Hove is also home to a good selection of dressers / sofa's and tables. It's a little more expensive than the other 2, but the quality is good. They also offer a delivery service which is so useful for £15.

Has anyone else come across any great finds in the Brighton or Hove area?
