    I don't think they sell it. Not clear if this is the 2 ply or 3 ply - perhaps they are getting it in but the delivery has not arrived yet or something?

    I would guess it could have something to do with the APG stuff where it used to say £0 for anything not available it was causing problems with the price comparison. Maybe they are putting a higher price in now instead of the 0.

    I work in a DIY store and our put the price up to that when they don't want the customers to buy it.

    Usually it is a safety issue, head office decide they don't want the customers to buy the product as it is not safe, so they withdraw it.

    But there is always they chance that one might find it's way back onto the shelf, so they put the price up to ensure the customer will not buy it. Even if they pick it up without noticing the price, they get a shock at the checkout!

    Can't see why there would be a safety issue with loo roll, but maybe someone doesn't want the customers buying it for some other reason.
