i have seen a flat i would like to buy for £70k i have around 15k deposit but have just had my hours cut at work so will now be earning around 16k due you think there is a chance to get a mortgage or just keep building my deposit . i have know debts apart from my credit card that i clear every month

Just based on your 16k salary, a mortgage in the region of 55k could be obtainable from many lenders. Added to the fact that you'd have a 20%+ deposit, you could be in a good position as a borrower.
Actual acceptance for a mortgage will look at other factors, such as real affordability, credit history (not just current commitments), etc.0
