Nice price, but bare in mind it's only got an analogue tuner which will be useless soon. If your not worried then it does seem to be an excellent price, especially considering the connectivity.

I want to replace my bedroom TV with this one. I use video sender from the lounge to watch Sky upstairs in the bedroom. This doesn't look like having a scart connection. Is there some work around to it? Thanks

It has a component input, so all you need is a scart - component convertor. Readily available @ Maplins etc.

If your video sender is anything like the two I've got, you can only transmit the composite (CVBS) signal, so the S-Video and component inputs won't be any use.

The CVBS input into this monitor is probably via the TV tuner module on the back, most likely using an RCA (aka Phono) style socket, while audio may well be on a 3.5mm socket, so you will need to adapt from whatever your sender has to these.

One of my senders has RCA sockets for CVBS, AUDIO L and AUDIO R, while the other uses a multi pole 3.5mm socket for all three - it is fairly straightforward to find leads and adaptors to make either combination work with this display.

Bear in mind that picture quality via the CVBS input will not be great on such a big screen.

    :)

  • Hmm, this looks awfully tempting, but I can't seem to find any reviews. Is this a brand new set on the market?

Thanks a lot to everyone who replied. Its such a big help.

There's another thread added yesterday about LCD tvs.

Any idea, which one is best? £50 wont make a difference, but I want a better picture quality.

    Thanks again.
