That's almost exactly what I do Atush:) most of my extra debt repayment goes to the highest interest charging one, I do however pay some extra to the mortgage for the psychological boost, thankfully I currently just have one high interest charging account at present ( till the other credit cards come off their 0% transfer balances... But we are currently mulling over the prospect of remortgaging when that happens)
I have a 100 month plan and I'm doing really good at it so far
Will keep checking re mobile phones, but I am literally in a dead spot currently, I know this as we often get visitors and not one of them ( apart from Vodafone users) can get a signal, we very often get laughed at because of it.... But who knows maybe by the time my contract is due up some other carrier may manage to get a signal0 -
Just as long as you are aware that "psychological boost" is costing you money. I really would leave the mtg alone and repay your debt faster.0

Yep I am aware
thanks ... It's not too much though and tbh I'm thinking of remortgaging to get the interest rate down as that may be the best thing for us ... We should then pay less interest and pay it off faster, thus allowing us to put more buy for both early retirement and retirement itself

If you can re- mtg for little or no cost do it. but some of these 2 yr deals aren't worth it with the fees- so do the math (or get some here to do ti for you lol).
As for:The way my husband and I work out our money is more of a everything goes into a pot the bills are paid and what is left gets divided between several pots including debt repayment, mortgage reduction, savings, holidays , fun money and retirement provision
Do remember, who ever pays the least (or no) tax should have any unsheltered savings in their name so as to min tax paid. Once all debt is paid off lol.
And you have filled all your ISAs0 -
Thanks again Atush much appreciated
I think we both pay basic rate tax, although I the government bring down the higher tax threshold anymore hubby will hit it ... I was shocked at how much it got lowered tbh ... Will deff keep a wee eye on the tax though and re discuss with hubby about the remortgaging, we were offered 3.29% fixed for 5 years we currently pay 6.3% on the car alone so it may be worth our whole changing I have a small visa that will be cleared shortly and another visa that comes off its 0% deal soon as well, so I'm probably best to get it organised before it does0
