Hello,
I have a ceramic plant pot that has made an awful stain on our lovely cream carpet. I have no idea how it happened - is there anything on earth that would get rid of the stain?
I've tried stardrops and Vanish but no luck so far.
Thanks.

What kind of stain? Sorry not sure I understand, is this water over-run from the plant or paint from the plant pot?CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J0

I had a similar problem water seeped through the glazed saucer I had the plant pot standing in. Im afraid I couldnt shift the stain at all so no tips. However I did buy a bigger plastic saucer to put the plant pot in and that covered the stain.Away with the fairies.... Back soon0

It isn't a water over-run as I was always very careful not to over-water the plant - it's like a brown tea-coloured stain that no amount of scrubbing will shift.
I don't know what caused it - we had the same pot on a green carpet in our old flat and that was absolutely fine. Very strange.0 -
I use this site a lot for ideas with stains http://www.carpetcleaningking.co.uk/tips.htm with being a plant pot then is the stain a 'clay' stain ? I think I'd try the guide for those first. Some stains can be from plant food which may be the case if you've used the plant pot before without any problems. http://www.naturalhandyman.com/iip/infcleaning/infcarpetstaintables.html that's another good site and has suggestions for plant food stains, unfortunately some of the plant foods contain a permenant dye and can't be removed.
http://carpetinspector.com/yellowing_in_carpet.htm quite interesting tooOne day I might be more organised...........
