I have a feeling, MSE Admin might be playing with an idea to have the redex clickable from the thread list, so you don't have to open the thread if you know for sure you don't wanna enter....Golly, I've got the newt pregnant...

That would make me very happy .. almost certainly worth losing the redex for a couple of hours for!
Fingers crossed! Thanks to all those lovely people who contribute to this website.

Yes think they are playing with it, I have faded out red x's on all the posts on the main board now, I was very confused to start with!
Don't think it's quite working yet as I clicked one and got a lot of error pop-ups and then two big x's appeared instead of one .
Nice that we are getting it though!0 -
Refresh and it's working
In forum view you can click on the 'X' and toggle it on and off.0 -

Hi all,
There will be some disruption to the skip button / red cross button today as we make a few changes. Please bear with us and thank you for your patience.

The red cross is now available without opening each thread which makes a lot more sense :j
The only thing I don't now like is that I used to know what I'd already read because the text in the title would no longer be bold.
And the bold blue box round the cross stands out a bit much for me, but as the others have said, you can't please everybody0 -
Although it now looks like every one has a red cross. I know they are dimmer than when they are selected, but at a quick glance it looks like I dont want to enter any comp.Current Aims: Laptop/PC, decent money, holiday
Best Wins: Ipad, Nintendo 3DS, £400 Shopping Spree at LK Bennett, £100 Boots vouchers
Total Wins (Since April 2012) £3442.56
Big thanks to all who post comps :T:beer:0 -
i'm finding it great, there's certain comps i don't enter but before had to go into the link to click on the skip x but now as ren says, you can click on the x without having to open the post first :jplease be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0
