I won a competition and the prize was a collection of themed prizes with each item mentioned in the prize rules.
The firm dealing with the comp put me off for five months telling me they were waiting on deliveries and then claiming they'd sent out the prize and it was lost in the post etc and they'd mail another box out.
I finally got it today and it's short of three items mentioned but there is one item duplicated. Is it acceptable to ask for the missing bits or am I expected just to accept what I'm given? The prize is not really worth much.
Thanks

I would say that it's not about what it's worth, but more about what it's worth to you. For starters, it does no harm to write a friendly, but honest, email saying thanks for sending, but you were a little disappointed because after waiting all this time, three items were missing, and one was duplicated. I think I would definitely do that. If that doesn't get you the result you want, then it's about deciding whether it's worth fighting on for or not. For me, if it was something I wanted, I would fight on - even if it's not a lot financially. On the other hand, in life there are always more battles to fight than we have energy to take on. So sometimes it's best to let things go. Your call is deciding which camp this battle lands in. HTHI am brave, I am bruised
I am who I'm meant to be
I'm not scared to be seen
I make no apology
THIS IS ME!
When you talk down to others it says more about you than them.0
