Does anyone know if I will be eligible for JSA in this situation please?
I am British, but I have been living and working abroad for around 5 years. I had some temporary jobs in the UK in the past, amounting to a total of around 2 years, during which I was paying NICs. I have never claimed any UK benefits before.
On 15th December I will move back to the UK, after voluntarily resigning from my foreign job.
I have a new assignment in the UK starting on 11th February - contract already signed. I am already technically employed by a UK umbrella company, but of course I am receiving no salary from them yet.
From 15th December to 10th February, will I be able to claim JSA? I know it won't be much or for very long, but every penny counts!
Thanks in advance.
