Lost childs Account

When my daughter was born 1992 we took out a childrens trust account of some kind, which was due to mature at either 16, 18 or 21 we paid into the account for about 10 years then was unable to carry on, due to relationship breakdown. My daughter is now twenty and we have tried to track the account through the lost account website but nothing has come up, we opened the account on the advice of a finacial advisor who worked for legal and general. Is there anyway of tracking this account could it have been paid to her father, or because we stopped payining into it could we hsve lost all we put in, any advice would be helpfull.

If the adviser worked for Legal & General then they are probably the best people to ask.0
