  • The caramel one is almost the same as regular Baileys, very subtle but quite nice. I was under the impression that the caramel was discontinued though??? You may like the biscotti one as that's also similar to regular Baileys (drinking some now, got a 2 x 1 litre bottles for £15 in Morrisons recent deal!).

My opinions on the flavours if it helps -
    - hazlenut is ok but has a burnt aftertaste (and is disappointingly non-ferrero rocher in taste lol) wouldn't get it again
    - coffee - not too bad considering I hate coffee flavoured anything, but would never drink a glass of it, tastes like the smell of dark, black coffee (iykwim!)
    - caramel - similar to Baileys but slightly sweeter with a very faint caramel taste, wouldn't say it's sickly though (think discontinued though, would have had it again)
    - mint - subtle mintiness, like melted lightly minted choccy (would buy again)
    - biscotti - like regular Baileys but with a subtle rich tea biscuit type taste, would buy again
    - orange truffle - like when you let orange crunch Quality Street melt in your mouth, so a little sweet & too much may be sickly to some people, but I find it ok (only stocked in Tesco atm & will clear them out when they hopefully put it to £10!)

An extra point, I looked into which was meant to be the next best and the £3.99 (County Meadows?) Tesco one was rated next best, but it's not! It's waaay too sweet, but is still drinkable ;)

    HTH!

Thanks so much for conducting all that market research for your fellow MSE'ers. You really took [STRIKE]one[/STRIKE] several for the team. :rotfl: Last Xmas I developed, much to my surprise, a taste for Sherry; but am baffled by Finos and Pale Creams - don't suppose you could do some more research and report back?

So basically you are saying stick to the original and add your own flavours lolol (Tia Maia works really well) ;)

    t's is £15, while sains is £20
  • Just spotted this on HotUKDeals, not sure if it's already been posted on here.

Seems that offer has been marked up as spam on hotukdeals.

Was going to nip over on my lunch break :(

Although I'll just check as 4 people have thanked the post, can any of those people confirm this is a real deal?
  • Thanks, my mum picked me one up in Asda on Monday (with 10% staff discount) so £9!!

  • Was assured by Sainsburys that they would Brand Match this, as we have no nearby Asda. Went and bought two bottles today, at the cost of £40, but only got £10 back on Brand Match. When I double checked on My Supermarket the Asda deal is still up so I'm a bit vexed!
  • was in tesco earlier, the orange flavour was on an end display and still marked up at £15, but the sel said that the offer ends today so am just wondering whether they might reduce the price on tomorrow's price change or is it a red herring and will it just be £15 again?! will check tomorrow.
actually forgot how nice the original baileys is so might just have to get another bottle from A too if the £10 deal is still running...
    Car Boot Queen!!

Clothes Golden Rule: Never pay full price unless it is an utter bargain in the first place!
Sales, boots, charity shops, ebay- why would anyone ever pay full price for anything??!

maybe worth contacting their customer services dept to complain? not sure whether it will work as not had to do that myself before but surely if someone said you could get the price match then they should honour that?
