Cheaper alternatives to Lush

I love Lush products and can see lots of websites with similar products, but am loathe to order things without knowing if they are good quality.
I like the Lush soaps too but the 'posh' handmade soaps Ive seen online are either just as expensive or those sort of semi see through ones which jazzy appearances rather than something which may be really good quality with natural products in it.
any ideas?

I think you get what you pay for really, sorry. Their stuff is expensive but they tend to use more natural products and shea butters for example rather than cheaper palm oils.
You could always try making your own? (have a look at the natural beauty thread thingy at the top of the page) Face masks for example are super easy to make, you can even make soap in a crock pot/slow cooker. Great for pressies too."I am not a vegetarian because I love animals; I am a vegetarian because I hate plants." A. Whitney Brown0 -
I'm a massive Lush fan and have been trying to find good cheaper alternatives for years but haven't had much luck so far - I'm almost always disappointed and end up wasting money. What I tend to do is wait until after Xmas when all the giftsets and many other items in the store are 50% off and stock up for a whole year. The giftsets are often quite good value anyway so with 50% off they're fabulous. I normally buy a Lush Legends box on Boxing Day for £50 and it lasts me most of the year. If you have a few stores near you then try to visit them all as some will have more sale stock than others. Join their individual Facebook pages too as last year my local stores were listing what they had on sale.
Its the only way I've found to buy Lush cheaply.0
