Lulu is eating more with the drop in temperature, keeping warm costs calories!

Mine are the same, they always eat more in the winter!
Be who you are, say what you feel, those who mind don't matter, those who matter don't mind.
They say that talking to yourself is a sign of mental illness. So I talk to the cats instead.

Frankie would eat and eat and eat if I let him. He gets wormed regularly, he is just a grubber. He tried to eat human food to including spicy curries so if we have a takeaway we need to clear it up before bed or he will scoff it.... imagine next days litter !!
  • Dizz is a greedy little bloater, any fatter and he'd roll down the stairs instead of lolloping down like a dog. He steals the other cats' food, hurls himself at their plates of identical food and keens away like a banshee if the bowl isn't put on the floor soon enough.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

I have recently been adopted by a rescue cat, he is very sweet and is adjusting to his new life very well. But boy, does he eat! He had been dumped and left to fend for himself so he probably views every meal as his last. So much so, that I'm setting him up a separate budget as he costs more than me to feed. Maybe it's a combination of stocking up for the winter and worrying about where his next meal is coming from!

He is my second rescue cat, unfortunately, my last cat, the Bear, had to be put to sleep as he had dementia and was becoming very distressed. I still miss him.

Our two boys are very greedy. The younger will eat to his hearts content if we let him. He wolfs his food down. Being 10 months doesn't help. He farts something chronic and my god does he pong!:rotfl:

My cat never over eats and eats less as it gets colder and she is less active. Just feed the correct amount and the cat will be fine.

I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -
