    Another question which doesn't get asked enough is if Lidl (for example) with their smaller market share can undercut Tesco fruit and veg prices, why can't Tesco with their bigger market share and bigger volume orders have lower prices on healthy stuff ??

    And going back to special offers, the usual Tesco practice is to make suppliers pay for them and the promotion costs, which means only big companies can afford these promotions. So again, artisan healthier products lose out.

    Presumably at least some of the advertising costs are tax deductible ??
