To be blunt - there is no complaint. No lender HAS to provide a mortgage holiday. It's annoying yes but that's the situation.
  • The complaint is that they are changing the goal post to suit them! They cannot give payment breaks and then suddenly use the excuse it's because part of your mortgage is 0% interest..that's not our fault we never asked for that!

You have to work out what your goal is from the complaint. If your complaint is that 'they are changing the goal posts' then what is your outcome - an apology?

If your outcome is 'to be given a payment holiday' - it's not going to happen.

I realise that's not what you want to hear but that's the stark reality of the situation.

No goal posts being moved. The application will be assessed on its merits. Factoring into account the information obtained from 3rd parties. A payment holiday is not a right, more of an earned privilege.

A payment holiday is a loan. It's not a gift from Santa, a human right or something nice. It's an increase in debt.

If I've read correctly the OP has already shown an inability to maintain full payments on a loan.

Additionally the LTV and other criteria can be changed at the lender's discretion unless the T&Cs say otherwise.
  • Nationwide gave me a payment holiday for 3 months, without me asking for one. I politely said No Thank You!!
